This Privacy Policy covers the treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) gathered when you are using or accessing the Services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third party websites, services and applications (“Third Party Services”) that you elect to access through the Service or to individuals that we do not manage or employ. What Personal Information do we collect?

Account Information:

User Content:

Some features of the Services allow you to provide content to the Services, such as narrative and quantitative information about your company, its goal, and strategies, contact information, images and video.  Information provided to us for your public profile will be viewable by registered users of the Services, and, in some cases, the general public.  Information regarding your innovation goals and strategies may be collected as part of our Innovation Survey, which will be used to generate your Innovation Profile.  The information provided during the Innovation Survey and the information contained on your Innovation Profile will always be private and cannot be seen by any other users or the general public.

All content submitted by you to the Services for your public profile may be retained by us indefinitely, even after you terminate your account, and will be viewable by other users until you hide your public profile.  To hide your public profile and the information that it contains from public view, please follow the instructions on the "Admin" page located at //theinnovationscout/admin.  If you have completed an Innovation Survey, we may retain the information that you have provided after you terminate your account, but that information will be de-identified and will be used solely for improving the performance of our improving our platform.

What do we use your Personal Information for?

Any of the Personal Information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

To provide the Services to you and our other users and subscribers.

To communicate with you from time to time. We enroll you to receive our periodic email newsletter. You may opt out of receiving this newsletter at any time. From time to time, there may be an email sent to your account email address because there is an important business or transactional need to do so.

We may also use Personal Information and other information collected through the Service to the extent required by law or legal process, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements (including this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service) with you, or if in our reasonable discretion use is necessary to protect our legal rights or to protect third parties.

We assume no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond our control. You play an important role in keeping your personal information secure. You should not share your user name, password, or other security information for your account with anyone. If we receive instructions using your user name and password, we will consider that you have authorized the instructions.

Do we use cookies?

We do not currently use cookies but may do so in the future. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow this via your browser). Cookies enable the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and recall certain information.  If we use cookies, we will use them to understand and save your preferences for future visits.

Do we use web beacons?

We do not currently use web beacons, but we may do so in the future.  Web beacons are electronic images that may be used on a website or in an email. We would use web beacons to deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness, and tell whether you open an email and act upon it.

Do we disclose any Personal Information to outside parties?

We will share your Personal Information from time to time with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also share your Personal Information with third parties with whom we have marketing arrangements with respect to the Services, and such third parties may use the Personal Information to market their products and services to you. We may release your Personal Information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
